Students who utilize Catie’s Closet’s services endure numerous challenges, including poverty, homelessness, foster care and refugee transitions, mental and emotional health struggles, and isolation.
Each of these not only leads to disengagement from school, but often has a negative influence on their self-esteem and overall well-being.

We can’t change students’ homes, take away their past traumas, diminish their fears or replant their family trees, but we can do what we’ve done for the past 13 years and meet their most basic and immediate physical needs to help them feel good about themselves, engage in learning, and make a positive difference in the world around them.
